If the school is to achieve its goals, meet the needs of students and fulfill the expectations of parents, there should be good linkage between the teachers and the parents i.e. fostering home and school understanding.
Both the home and the school are two great institutions trying to achieve the same goal, the production of happy, well adjusted adults for instance, one very common complaint of teacher is that children are sent off to school with inadequate preparation for the experience. Similarly most parents hold the impression that the school is to be blamed for falling standards in education and students morals. It therefore, becomes obvious that the teachers and the parents need to get to know each other better and to understand each other’s problem.
